Ranalli, a three-year letterwinner from 2014-16, was a part of the 2015 Big Ten championship team. He recently received his bachelor’s degree in sport management and graduated as cum laude in 2016. Ranalli spent one year at the University of Akron before joining the Buckeyes before the start of the 2014 season. A leader on and off the field, Ranalli was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and OSU Scholar-Athlete. He currently is pursuing a master’s degree in sports coaching.
“The prospect of continuing to be a part of such a special program was one that I certainly could not pass up,” Ranalli said. “The chance to continue to work with and learn from three incredibly talented and experienced coaches in coach Bluem, coach Gordo [Gordona] and coach Pearce presents a unique opportunity that could not be matched anywhere else. To be able to learn from these three will provide an exceptional environment in which I can continue to grow and develop as I look to begin my career in coaching.”
Ranalli, a native of Powell, Ohio, played in 15 career matches in the Buckeye midfield and defense.
