Luke Rose joined The Ohio State University as an Assistant Director for Football Strength and Conditioning in January of 2023 after spending three years at Boston College as an Assistant Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. Before joining Boston College, he spent the 2016-2019 seasons at Rutgers University in the same capacity. Prior to his time at Rutgers, Luke spent the 2015 season as a Graduate Assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Akron Zips football program. Luke began his collegiate coaching career as a strength and conditioning intern for The Ohio State Football Program during the 2014 season and 2015 off-season. While a student at Ohio State, he interned and then coached at The Spot Athletics, located in Columbus, Ohio. During his time at The Spot Athletics, he conducted speed, strength, and conditioning sessions for male and female athletes of all ages in various sports.
Luke is originally from Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio and is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science Education. He also earned his M.S. in sports administration from Boston College. Luke holds the SCCC certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and the CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Rose and his wife Samantha currently reside in Columbus.
