Kevin Nerl currently serves as the Assistant Director of Football Equipment Services. Alongside Assistant AD of Equipment Services Kevin Ries, he manages all aspects of the football program's equipment operation, including budgeting and procurement, repair and maintenance, equipment fitting, and travel logistics. Nerl also supervises a staff of 12 football student managers.
A certified equipment manager, Nerl was an Ohio State football student manager for three seasons between 2011 and 2013. He then worked as an equipment intern with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2014 and spent a year as an operations assistant with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2015-16 before returning to Ohio State.
Nerl is from Cincinnati and attended Mariemont High School. He is a 2014 graduate of Ohio State with a degree in English. He and his wife, Kate, reside in Columbus with their children Luke and Hattie Jane.
