Ohio State Overview
• Mitchell is in his fifth year with the program and has two seasons of eligibility
• He has played at both linebacker and at defensive end but has settled in at end, a position he played all of 2023
• After missing both the 2021 and 2022 campaigns because of injury, he had his best season as a Buckeye in 2023, playing in 12 of 13 games and totalling 119 plays on both defense and special teams
• Recorded three solo tackles on the season, all of them tackles-for-loss totaling 13 yards with one of those his first quarterback sack
• Two of his TFLs came against Western Kentucky, including his quarterback sack, and his third TFL came against Purdue
• Played in one game as a true freshman in 2020 for the Big Ten and Sugar Bowl champion Buckeyes
• Has graduated with his degree in communications and is now working on a master's degree in film studies with goals of making movies

• A four-star prospect who 247Sports ranked as the No. 11 outside linebacker and No. 8 player in Maryland
• As a senior, helped Good Counsel High School and head coach Andy Stefanelli win the coveted Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship with a 16-14 victory over St. John’s
• Finished senior season with 97 tackles, 16 tackles-for-loss, one interception, four forced fumbles, eight pass breakups and a team-record 20 sacks
• WCAC Defensive Player of the Year and first-team defense (linebacker)
• Had eight tackles, 3.5 sacks and one pass breakup in a WCAC semifinal win over Gonzaga and two more sacks in the championship game
• NBC Sports Washington’s All-DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) football team – Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year
• Washington Post All-Met 2019 Football Team – First-team defense
