Tyler Deam has been a member of the Ohio State athletic training staff since 2014 and was promoted to Director of Athletic Training in July 2026. He now works exclusively with the football program.

Deam returned to his alma mater after gaining graduate-level experience at Florida State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Ohio State in 2012 before completing a master’s degree in sports management at FSU in 2014.

While in Tallahassee, he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the Seminole football team and women’s sand volleyball program. As an Ohio State undergraduate, Deam gained hands-on experience with the football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and women’s gymnastics teams, and also completed a yearlong clinical rotation with the Columbus Crew.

He is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association.
