Thomas Morton joined the Ohio State football program in 2026 as a program assistant for offense. A former quarterback at Southern Miss, Morton has quickly built a coaching resume that includes stops at Auburn, Troy and Samford before landing with the Buckeyes.
Morton spent the 2025 season at Samford as the quarterbacks coach after previously working at Auburn from 2021-24 in a variety of roles. His time with the Tigers included stints as a player personnel intern and analyst before moving into offensive assistant responsibilities, where he worked with tight ends and wide receivers. Before Auburn, Morton spent the 2020 season at Troy as an offensive assistant.
He also played collegiately at Southern Miss, where he heard his bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and sciences in 2020.
