Quinn Tempel joined the Ohio State football staff in 2014 and currently serves as Senior Associate Athletics Director, Football Administration. He previous held the title of Chief of Staff for many seasons as he works closely with head coach Ryan Day and oversees all areas of the program, including team administration (scheduling, staff meetings, liaison to the Department of Athletics, human resources and budget), facility operations (scheduling, field use, graphics and maintenance) and support staff across player development, operations, recruiting, creative, facilities, equipment and technology.Â
Prior to his aforementioned two roles within the program, Tempel served as assistant director of football operations from 2015-18. He began his career on the staff as an offensive graduate assistant after working as a student manager as an undergrad and was part of Ohio State’s inaugural College Football Playoff national championship team in 2014.Â
A native of Antwerp, Ohio, and a graduate of Antwerp High School, Tempel is a two-time Ohio State alum. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sports and leisure studies in 2013 and his master’s degree in sports management in 2018. Â
