Monica Johnson joined the Ohio State football staff in April 2026 as Player and Family Relations/Community Engagement Coordinator.Â
Previously, Johnson served as an Admissions Counselor and Academic Learning Specialist Coordinator at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she guided prospective students through the admissions process and led academic support initiatives designed to promote student achievement and retention. She later worked as a High School College Counselor at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, partnering closely with students and families throughout the college search and application process. She is deeply committed to helping students identify their strengths, confidently navigate key transitions and achieve their academic goals.
Originally from Detroit, Johnson graduated from Princeton High School in Cincinnati. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Miami University in 1999 and later completed a Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2004.
Johnson is the proud mother of two children, Paris Johnson Jr. and Sydney Johnson. Paris is a graduate of Ohio State and was selected as a first-round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, while Sydney is currently a student at Ohio State. In addition to her work in education, Johnson serves as Executive Director of the Paris Johnson Jr. Foundation, where she provides strategic vision and leadership while continuing to support and manage her family’s talents and endeavors.
