Luke Rose joined Ohio State as an assistant director for football strength and conditioning in January 2023 after spending three seasons at Boston College as an assistant football strength and conditioning coach.Â
Prior to his time at Boston College, Rose served in a similar role at Rutgers from 2016-19. He also spent the 2015 season as a graduate assistant for strength and conditioning coach for the Akron football program. Â
Rose began his collegiate coaching career as a strength and conditioning intern with the Ohio State football program during the 2014 season and 2015 offseason. While a student at Ohio State, Rose interned and later coached at The Spot Athletics in Columbus, where he led speed, strength, and conditioning sessions for male and female athletes of all ages across multiple sports.Â
A native of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio, Rose earned his bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science education from Ohio State and later completed his master’s degree in sports administration at Boston College. He also holds SCCC certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Â
