Kenny Parker is the associate director of football strength and conditioning at The Ohio State University and a veteran performance professional with more than 20 years of experience in collegiate athletics. In his role with the Buckeyes, Parker assists in all aspects of Ohio State’s football performance program.Â
Throughout his career, Parker has contributed to multiple national championship football programs, including title-winning teams at Ohio State and the University of Florida.Â
Parker’s current tenure at Ohio State began in 2020 and marks his second stint in Columbus. He previously served as assistant director of football strength and conditioning from 2012-15 before spending four seasons (2016-19) as head football strength and conditioning coach at Rutgers University.Â
A 2005 graduate of Florida with a degree in sociology, Parker spent 10 years with the Gators as both a player and coach. His playing career spanned from 2000-04, including starting roles at defensive tackle in 2003 and 2004. Following graduation, Parker served in several roles with the program, including defensive intern, graduate assistant and assistant director of football camps. He left Florida following the 2009 season to join Murray State University, where he oversaw the Racers’ in-season and off-season football training programs.Â
Parker starred at Northside High School in Georgia, earning USA Today All-America honors and recognition as one of the nation’s top defensive tackle prospects. He was a two-time all-state selection and played in the Florida-Georgia All-Star Game.Â
In 2023, Parker earned a Master of Education degree from Ohio State. Â
He is also a certified Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.Â
