- Siblings are Pia, who competed in track and field, and Henrik, Jr., who plays basketball

- On how he got into fencing: “My brother started fencing when he was 7. I really wanted to fence but could not because I was only 4 years old. When I turned 6 I was finally allowed to and the rest is history.”
