On how she got into fencing: "My mom immigrated to the United States to fence at The Ohio State University. She introduced me to the sport and was my first coach. She quickly became my biggest supporter.
On why she chose Ohio State: "Ohio State has always been in my life. Before I was a fencer I was a Buckeye. Both my parents graduated from the school and my brother also eventually ended up there too. I’ve know they have a good business program, which heightened my interest as I got to know what I wanted to go to school for."
