Ohio State Mascot Foundations Program
The Mascot Foundations Program is a consultative service designed to help schools and corporate entities intentionally design, launch, or refine mascot programs that reflect institutional values, promote student leadership, and operate with professionalism and consistency.
Rather than focusing solely on performance, this framework emphasizes program structure, coaching philosophy, and sustainable practices that support both students and the school community.
This program is for
- Schools launching a mascot program for the first time
- Schools seeking clearer standards and expectations
- Athletic, student life, advancement, or marketing departments overseeing spirit initiatives
- Professional corporations looking for guidance and direction with their street teams
- Coaches or advisors assuming mascot oversight responsibilities
Our core areas of support include:
- Defining Program Vision & Role Definition
- Developing Selection & Tryout Framework
- Defining Performer Standards & Conduct
- Coaching, Oversight and Practice Definition
- Developing Gameday & Event Expectations
- Development of a First-Year Roadmap
