Micro Internship Program
In 2022, the Eugene D. Smith Leadership Institute launched its Micro-Internship program. Micro-Internships enable student-athletes to gain experience in their chosen field in a short-term format that allows them to continue training at an elite level. This week-long experience includes professional development, providing student-athletes with another incredible option to get tangible work experience to be successful after graduation.
Participating companies included NetJets, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Adobe, and Ohio state Athletics, providing more than 20 student-athletes with experience in a variety of industries. See below for highlight’s from last year’s program!

After the NetJets micro-internship, I walked away with a greater knowledge on what goes into not only running a fortune 500 company but continuing to grow it and outdo their previous successes each year. Everyone at NetJets was so personable and helpful and it made me want to apply for their full internship program next summer!”
