Ohio State Baseball College Prospect Camp

The Ohio State Baseball College Prospect Camp gives participating players the opportunity to showcase their skills and playing abilities on the field at Bill Davis Stadium / Nick Swisher Field amongst not only the Ohio State Baseball Coaching staff but also other collegiate coaches and recruiters. Capital University, Bluffton University, Charleston University, Ashland University, and Muskingum University have confirmed attendance at this camp with more confirming. This camp is designed to give prospects a chance to expose themselves to multiple schools all in one world class place. Ohio State Baseball is hiring other college coaches in order to work and coach at this camp so that players may learn and play in front of more than just one coaching staff. Players will learn from top collegiate coaches and Ohio State staff and players all at the same time. This two day event will allow players to not only participate in drills and skill development sessions, but they will also run a sixty yard dash and play in modified scrimmage games where they can show their skills. Players will register themselves as either a pitcher only, a position player, or as a two-way player.
This event will also provide campers a unique valuable opportunity to become familiar with the Buckeye Baseball Way and for the type of development that can positively impact a players life and career physically and mentally. Participants will also have the chance to tour athletics campus facilities.
Ohio State’s Damon Lessler will lead this camp as both the administrator and lead instructor. Lessler has more than a decade of experience working in Division I baseball as a coach, and currently serves as the Buckeyes’ Director of Baseball Operations/Recruiting & Player Development. Lessler, who has had previous coaching stops at Cal, Cal Poly, Southern Miss and other universities, uses his past experiences to serve and assist head coach Bill Mosiello with all aspects of day-to-day operations of the Ohio State program along with leading Buckeye Baseball Camps.
