Ways to Give
Buckeye Club
· Annual fund for Ohio State Athletics with member contributions directly supporting student-athlete scholarships.
· Members are offered exclusive benefits and event invitations to members based on their giving level.
· Members receive access to football season tickets.
· Membership Levels include all giving to Buckeye Club, per-seat contributions, Athletics pledge payments ($100k overall pledges or more) and football premium seat payments (excluding planned giving and ticket/parking money).
Champions Fund
· Charitable fund within the Buckeye Club, offering an opportunity for wholly philanthropic support.
· Provides support for grant-in-aid scholarships for student-athletes participating in all 36 varsity sports.
· 100% tax-deductible donations, supporting our Buckeyes.
· All gifts to the Champions Fund count towards Buckeye Club Membership Levels and priority.
The Eugene D. Smith Leadership Institute Fund
· Comprehensive programing aimed to provide leadership, character and career development for all Ohio State student-athletes in order to best prepare them for life after graduation.
· A primary goal is to ensure that student-athletes have a post-graduation plan; the percentage of student-athletes that have secured a job, been accepted into graduate school, or signed a professional contract has increased each year since EDSLI’s inception in 2018-19.
Sport-Specific Donations
· Charitable donations that provide programmatic support above and beyond sport budgets.
· Funding supports any team needs, including additional staffing, facility upgrades, travel, nutrition, equipment, professional development and team building.
1888 Society (Scholarship Endowments)
· Members of the 1888 Society establish endowed scholarships that provide financial support for student-athlete tuition, room and board, books, and more.
· Endowments are investments in Ohio State Athletics that live on in perpetuity.
· The initial gift is preserved as principal and each year the interest produced by this gift is used to pay the student-athlete grant-in-aid bill.
Women's Athletic Excellence Fund
Learn more
· Supports and enhances the experience and development of Ohio State's women student-athletes, coaches and staff.
· Works to inspire future generations of Buckeye women leaders to achieve a standard of excellence.
Capital Projects
· Investments in the renovation of existing athletics facilities and the construction of new ones.
· New competitive and training facilities are entirely funded through donor support.
