Ohio State Baseball Summer Skill & Instructional Camps

SUMMER SKILL & INSTRUCTIONAL CAMPS DESCRIPTION
The Ohio State Baseball Summer Skill & Instructional Camps Series is designed to offer high school, and youth baseball players a first-class experience in learning America’s Pastime at Bill Davis Stadium/Nick Swisher Field, while being instructed by Ohio State Coaching Staff members, currently rostered players, camp councilors, and other hired coaches. Ohio State’s Damon Lessler will lead this summer’s series of camps as both the administrator and lead instructor. Lessler has more than a decade of experience working in Division I baseball as a coach, and currently serves as the Buckeyes’ Director of Baseball Operations/Recruiting & Player Development. Lessler, who has had previous coaching stops at Cal, Cal Poly, Southern Miss and other universities, uses his past experiences to serve and assist head coach Bill Mosiello with all aspects of day-to-day operations of the Ohio State program along with leading Buckeye Baseball Camps.
Note: There are multiple dates of Ohio State Baseball Summer Skills Camps. While the dates and tentative schedules for each summer series differ, the below information (equipment, meals & housing, required forms for participation, etc.) is the same for every Ohio State Baseball Summer Camp.
CAMP OFFERINGS
Buckeye Gold Glove Series Infield Camp (Ages 11 & Up)
This camp will provide players the opportunity to receive valuable instruction in all areas of fundamental infield defense and be exposed to drills and philosophies of the Ohio State Baseball infield defensive approach. Each date is one session and you can register for as many date(s) as you would like.
Camp Information
- Date(s): Wednesday, June 5, and Friday, July 12,
- Cost: $115 per session
- Grades: Ages 11 & Up and currently enrolled junior college/2-year college students
- Location: Bill Davis Stadium / Nick Swisher Field
Tentative Schedule
Check-In: 1:30-2:00pm
Instruction: 2:00-4:00pm
Elite Hitting Camp (Ages 11 & Up)
This camp will provide players the opportunity to be taught and exposed to the offensive drills and philosophies of the Ohio State Baseball program and the chance to hit live on the field at Bill Davis Stadium / Nick Swisher Field. Participants will receive first-hand coaching and instruction from Buckeye staff members. Each date is one session and you can register for as many date(s) as you would like.
Camp Information
- Date(s): Saturday, June 29, Saturday, July 13, Saturday, July 27
- Cost: $150 per session
- Grades: Ages 11 & Up and currently enrolled junior college/2-year college students
- Location: Bill Davis Stadium / Nick Swisher Field

Instruction: 10:00am-1:00pm
Elite Pitching Camp (Ages 11 & Up)
The Ohio State Baseball Elite Pitching Camp will provide participants with the unique opportunity to learn and practice pitching fundamentals with Ohio State Baseball staff members at Bill Davis Stadium / Nick Swisher field. This camp will focus on pitching fundamentals, arm care, mental aspects of pitching, and will also provide information about strength and conditioning as it relates to pitching at the next levels. Each date is one session and you can register for as many date(s) as you would like.
Camp Information
- Date(s): Saturday, July 13, Saturday, July 27
- Cost: $150 per session
- Ages: 11 & Up and currently enrolled junior college/2-year college students
- Location: Bill Davis Stadium / Nick Swisher Field
Tentative Schedule
Check-In: 1:00-1:30pm
Instruction: 1:30pm-4:30pm
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Equipment
All campers are responsible for bringing their own baseball equipment (gloves, bats, cleats, helmets; etc), however The Ohio State Baseball program will provide baseballs, and other necessary equipment needed to run camp.
Discounts
OSU employees are eligible to receive a 25% off discount. Pay in full online now, then at check-in day of camp you’ll need to present your ID. We will then refund you after the camp.
Meals and Housing
There will be no housing or meals provided by OSU at this camp and campers will be responsible for providing any food that they would like to eat while at camp. Water will be provided in the dugouts during camp. Campers visiting from out of town are responsible for providing their own overnight accommodations and The Ohio State Baseball program does not accept responsibility for campers outside of camp hours. Hotel information can be provided upon request.
Required Forms for Participation
The Parent Consent, Waiver & Release Form AND the Concussion Information Form are REQUIRED for all participants. These forms must be completed during online registrations. Campers will not be permitted to participate without these forms.
Confirmation
Once your registration is approved, you will be emailed with a confirmation of payment notice. One week prior to camp, you will also be sent an email with important camp details. This information will also be posted online at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary method of communication with campers and their parents.

Refunds
A refund less a $30 administration fee will be issued for any cancellation received by at least 2 weeks prior to the start of each camp. The administration fee and the 3% online processing fee are not refundable for ANY reason.
Because we have to guarantee the number of campers in order to prepare for camp, any cancellation received less than 2 weeks prior to the start of each session will not be eligible for any refund except in the case of injury, illness, or mandatory school event, in which case supporting documentation from a doctor or school is required.
A camp fee may not be transferred to any other Ohio State sports camp. A camp fee may not be transferred to any other camper. All cancellation notices must be received by the deadline above and submitted by mail, email, or fax – no phone calls or voicemails. All supporting documentation required for a refund to be approved and processed must be submitted within 10 days after the conclusion of the camp session.
Refund requests must be submitted on the Refund Request Form available at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps. Campers who are injured while at camp but remain at camp will not be eligible for any refund.
