Ohio State Softball Prospect ID Camp – Pitching & Catching
Ohio State Softball Prospect ID Camp - Pitching & Catching
Camp Overview
Our pitching instruction will focus on the fundamentals of throwing fast pitch and will be geared toward increasing speed and gaining control of pitches. Pitchers will also have an opportunity to learn several different pitch grips and techniques for throwing.
Catchers will cover different techniques of blocking, framing, bunt coverage, steal/pickoff throws, along with game situational strategies.
All players will learn the purpose and strategy for throwing various pitches and how to work them together.
Pitchers must bring their own catchers who are not attending the clinic (can be regular catcher or a family member).
Due to NCAA rules all prospect-aged camp participants must pay to participate in any institutional camp. All prospect-aged (Grades 7-12) Catchers coming with their Pitchers will be charged $20 and per NCAA rules will also receive instruction from the camp staff. We will collect $20 day of camp at check-in.
