OCTOBER 24 – 25, 2019
Covelli Center | Registration: 4:30 PM
Attendees who arrive Thursday will get to watch the Ohio State Wrestling varsity wrestle-offs as well as being a part of our closed coaches’ social with food and beer during the matches. Coaches will have the opportunity to complete their Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) State Rules Interpretation Friday, October 25th. Attendees also will have a chance to become CPR and PAV certified and earn their CEU credits. Additional breakout sessions will technique instruction, season planning discussions, and strength/conditioning training led by Ohio State coaches and current and former Buckeye student-athletes.

9:00 – 10:10 am: OHSAA: Rules meeting
10:10 – 10:40 am: Keynote Speaker: Tervel Dlagnnev

11:00 am – 2:00 pm: Breakout Sessions
PUPIL ACTIVITY VALIDATION (PAV) CERTIFICATION
Attendees will have the opportunity to obtain or renew their PAV Certification for a three year period. The sports medicine physicians and athletic training staffs and other medical professionals at The Ohio State University will discuss topics such as the recognition and treatment of common sports injuries, emergency situations, injury prevention, strength and conditioning, nutrition and other sports health concerns.
OHIO HS STATE RULES INTERPRETATION
Attendees will have the opportunity to receive their state rules interpretation credit.
DISCOUNTS
GROUP DISCOUNT: After two coaches are paid in full, each additional coach may receive a discount of $25 off their registration fee. If registering as a group, all registrations must be submitted together, along with payment, by mail.
MILITARY/SERVICE MEMBER DISCOUNT: Coaches who are current service men/women (Police Officer, Fire Fighter, EMS, Military) will be eligible to receive a discount of $25 off their registration fee. Proof of employment (i.e., military ID) must be presented at check-in.
Discounts cannot be combined. Discounts are not available through online
registration. If registering as a group, all registrations must be submitted together, along with payment, by mail. Please make checks payable to The Ohio State University.

OHIO REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER TECHNIQUE DEMONSTRATIONS
Ohio RTC Olympic hopefuls and coaches will demonstrate smaller, personalized technique sessions.
OSU COACHING STAFF TECHNIQUE DEMONSTRATIONS
The Ohio State coaching staff and student-athletes will conduct smaller, personalized technique sessions.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING DEMONSTRATIONS AND Q&A:
The sport of wrestling demands more of athletes than most other sports. The Ohio State sport science and strength staff will teach sessions on how to maximize athlete performance in the sport.
CEU CONTACT HOURS FOR TEACHING LICENSURE RENEWAL
Coaches in attendance who also are teachers will receive CEU credits and Verification of Participation Certificates. Three to four contact hours will be available.
CPR CERTIFICATION:
Coaches will have the opportunity to earn or renew their CPR Certification for free.
WRESTLING MINDSET TRAINING AND Q&A:
When competing in wrestling the main differentiator between good and great is the ability to stay in the moment, come learn some strategies to teach your athletes from former Navy Seal Trainer and Ohio State Strength coach Riley Ross.
We are pleased to once again host one of the largest high school and junior high school wrestling coaches clinic in the country. The success Ohio wrestlers achieve at all levels is a reflection of the commitment and hard work you put into your individual programs. We hope you can join us October 24-25.
