This all day camp is open to any and all boys who are entering grades 5-8 and 9th graders new to the sport (as of fall 2019). This is a general skills camp that will cover both team and individual aspects of the game. Camp fees include an Ohio State Volleyball T-Shirt, lunch, and dinner for all campers. Overnight campers will also receive on-campus housing and breakfast.
Our experienced camp staff is comprised of successful players, collegiate coaches, and highly touted club coaches. Their knowledge of volleyball skills and tactics inspires a high-energy, challenging camp environment to help you reach your full potential. They will work with you over the course of two days to bring out the best of your game. Many of our current players attended camp when they were junior high and high school athletes!

PETE HANSON
OHIO STATE HEAD COACH
Pete Hanson is the 8th Men’s Volleyball coach for Ohio State. He just completed his 34th season as head coach and has complied a 702-340 record. Under his guidance, the program has won 17 regular season MIVA Conference titles and 3 National Champinships (‘11, ‘16, ‘17). Coach Hanson has been named MIVA Coach of the Year 12 times and National Coach of the Year 4 times.

OHIO STATE ASSISTANT COACH
Tim Embaugh is in his 28th year as an assistant coach with the Men’s Volleyball program. He served as a student assistant in 1990, and lettered three years (1987-88-89) as an outside hitter for the Buckeyes.
KEVIN BURCH
OHIO STATE ASSISTANT COACH
Kevin Burch is in his fourth year as an assistant coach with the Buckeyes, and was a volunteer assistant in 2011 when Ohio State won its ?rst National Championship. Coach Burch has served in various capacities with three other volleyball programs since then, all of which won National Championships during his tenure.
MITCH LUSH

Mitch Lush is in his third year as the Buckeyes’ Director of Operations, as well as serving as the Summer Camp director for the program. Lush served as the team’s manager during his undergraduate studies at Ohio State en route their 2016 National Championship season. Lush graduated from Ohio State with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2016.
ENROLLMENT
The fee for this camp is $320 for overnight campers and $280 for day campers. The camp is open to any and all boys entering grades 5-8, and 9th graders new to the sport in fall 2019. Full payment is required at the time of online registration. You may register online by visiting OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps. A 3% processing fee will be added to all online registrations. If registering by mail, please make checks payable to The Ohio State University. Any non-scholastic group of 5 or more that wishes to pay with one check for the entire group must do so ahead of time via mail. Any non-scholastic organization with a group of 5 or more registering the day of the camp must pay with credit card, cash, or money order. No exceptions will be made.
DISCOUNTS
Siblings and children of Ohio State employees are eligible to receive discounted rate at $288 for overnight campers and $252 for day campers. Proof of employment (i.e., copy of employee or BuckID) and payment must be submitted with the registration. Discounts are not available through online registration and may not be combined. Please make checks payable to The Ohio State University.
EARLY ARRIVALS
Campers whose travel plans require them to arrive the night before the start of camp may stay in the camp dorm for an additional fee. Please email Ashley Jones (Asst. Director, Camps) at jones.6472@osu.edu for more information.
REQUIRED FORMS FOR PARTICIPATION
The Parent Consent, Waiver & Release Form AND the Concussion Information Form are REQUIRED for all participants. These forms must be completed during online registrations. Upon reciept of mail-in registrations, we will email a link to complete these forms online. Athletes will not be permitted to participate without these forms.
EQUIPMENT
All campers are responsible for bringing their own equipment. No equipment will be provided to ANY camper.
TRANSPORTATION
Port Columbus International Airport is only 15 minutes from the Ohio State campus. More information on transportation from the airport will come closer to the start of camp.
CONFIRMATION
Upon processing of each registration, a con?rmation notice will be sent by email. A packet of “Important Information for Registered Campers” (including the Parent Consent & Waiver Form and Concussion Information Form) will be posted online at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps at least 2 weeks prior to the start of each camp. This packet will not be separately mailed to campers.
Please check your email regularly, as this is our primary method of communication with campers and their parents.
REFUNDS
A refund less a $50 administrative fee (overnight campers) or $25 administrative fee (day campers) will be issued for any cancellation received by at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp. The administrative fee and the 3% online processing fee are not refundable for ANY reason.
Because we have to guarantee our number of campers in order to prepare for camp, any cancellation received less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp will not be eligible for any refund except in the case of injury, illness, or mandatory school event, in which case supporting documentation from a doctor or school is required.
A camp fee may not be transferred to any other Ohio State sports camp. A camp fee may not be transferred to any other camper. All cancellation notices must be received by the deadline above and submitted by mail, email, or fax – no phone calls or voicemails. All supporting documentation required for a refund to be approved and processed must be submitted within 10 days after the conclusion of the camp session. Refund requests must be submitted on the Refund Request Form available at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps. Campers who are injured while at camp but remain at camp will not be eligible for any refund.
