Columbus, Ohio – The all-Big Ten Conference teams were released today and senior cornerback and co-captain Ahmed Plummer was named first-team all-Big Ten by the media and second-team by the coaches while junior linebacker Na’il Diggs was named to the media and coaches’ second teams. They were the only Buckeyes to receive first or second-team honors.
Eight other Buckeyes earned honorable mention all-Big Ten Conference honors. Senior free safety Gary Berry, junior flanker Ken-Yon Rambo, senior offensive guard Ben Gilbert and senior defensive end James Cotton each earned honorable mention accolades by both the media and the coaches. Tailback Michael Wiley, defensive tackles Ryan Pickett and Mike Collins, and cornerback Nate Clements also were honorable mention choices.
The one first-team all-conference honor represented the fewest first-team picks for Ohio State since 1988, when no Buckeyes were named.
