PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Buckeyes placed sixth at the 27th Therese Hession Regional Challenge, hosted by Northrop Grumman, which wrapped up on Tuesday. Ohio State shot a 54-hole team score of 871 (+19).
Kary Hollenbaugh shot 74 (+3) in the final round and finished with a three-round score 214 (+1). She placed 11th.
Caley McGinty fired a 70 (-1) in the final round for a 54-hole score of 215 (+2). She moved up seven spots in the standings to tie for 12th place.
Lauren Peter carded a 75 (+4) in the third round and finished with a score of 221 (+8) to tie for 31st place.
Jillian Bourdage, who eagled hole number one, carded a total score of 225 (+12) after shooting 78 (+7) in the final round. She finished tied for 50th place.
Aneka Seumanutafa finished with a total score of 227 (+14). She shot her best round of the tournament on Tuesday, carding a 74 (+3) and finishing tied for 59th place.
Faith Choi and Emily Hummer each competed as individuals. Choi shot a 74 (+3) in the final round to finish with a 54-hole score of 225 (+12); she tied for 50th place. Hummer shot 75 (+4) in round three for a total of 231 (+18). She finished in 66th place.
The Buckeyes play next Feb. 27-28 in the Westbrook Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Course (Vistas Course) in Peoria, Ariz.
