COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 22/19 Ohio State women’s basketball team (15-4, 7-3 Big Ten) faces its second-straight ranked opponent as the Buckeyes are on the road on Monday night at No. 23/24 Iowa. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on BTN (TV login required) and AM 1460.
Fans can purchase single-game tickets for the 2021-22 season in Value City Arena in the Schottenstein Center. All group tickets must be bought in advance by calling 1-800-GO-BUCKS and then selecting option two. - Ohio State earned its way back into the top-25 of the AP Poll released on Monday (ranked 22nd) and is ranked 19th in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.
- Ohio State lost its first game of 2022 on Thursday evening against No. 7/7 Michigan by a 77-58 margin. The Buckeyes could not overcome the quick start from the Wolverines, falling to a double-digit deficit following a defensively-dominated second quarter.
- Jacy Sheldon led the Ohio State offense with 15 points while Tanaya Beacham scored 14, including 10 in the fourth quarter, falling just one shy of her season high. Rikki Harris recorded a career-high in assists for the second-straight game, totaling six helpers.
- Iowa enters the game with a 14-4 overall record and an 8-1 mark in Big Ten play after beating Northwestern by a 72-67 margin in overtime on Friday evening, avenging the Hawkeyes’ lone conference loss from Jan. 6 (77-69).
- Caitlin Clark leads the Hawkeyes in scoring (25.5 ppg), rebounding (8.6 rpg) and assists per game (8.1). Monika Czinano (20.6 ppg) and McKenna Warnock (12.1 ppg) also average double figures.
- Ohio State leads 38-34 in the all-time series against Iowa. Each team has defended its home court well, with the Hawkeyes winning 22 of 32 total matchups in Iowa City.
- The Buckeyes swept the series against the Hawkeyes last season, winning by an 84-82 mark in overtime on the road on Jan. 13, 2021 and a 92-87 margin at home on Feb. 4, 2021.
