
No. 22 Ohio State Set to Face No. 6 Minnesota

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 22 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team is back on the road again this weekend, meeting No. 6 Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn. on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. ET. The meet between the Buckeyes (3-2) and Gophers (3-1) will be held at the Maturi Pavilion and will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).
Ohio State as of Late
- The Buckeyes are 3-0 against Big Ten foes this season, with their most recent victory coming Monday night in Lincoln, Neb. Ohio State earned a 196.675-196.350 win over Nebraska with six gymnasts reaching career-high scores and four hitting scores of at least 9.900.
- Colby Miller joins the group of now seven Buckeyes who have hit 9.900s this season. Miller tied her career-best on uneven bars against the Huskers with a 9.925 to help the Buckeyes to their best score in the rotation this season. Lexi Edwards, Alexis Hankins and Jenna Hlavach have all posted team-high scores of 9.925 on floor. Nicole Riccardi has posted at least a 9.900 in all three of her appearances in the Buckeye lineup this season, with a career-high 9.925 against Nebraska. Tory Vetter hit a 9.900 on beam against Penn State.
- The Buckeyes won the uneven bars and floor titles for the second week in a row against Nebraska. The team scored a season-high 49.325 on uneven bars and recorded a score of 49.175 on floor for the win.
- Nine gymnasts have earned individual event titles this season, including Stephanie Berger, Edwards, Hankins, Hlavach, Ella Hodges, Sydney Jennings, Miller, Riccardi and Vetter. Edwards leads the way with five wins. She has earned an event title at four of the team’s five meets of the year.
- The Buckeyes are ranked No. 22 in the latest Road to Nationals standings with an average score of 196.985 this season.
- Riccardi ranks 12th nationally on uneven bard with an average score of 9.900 on the apparatus. Vetter is No. 13 in the country with a 9.900 average on beam.
- Ohio State faces its second top-10 opponent of the year in the No. 6 Gophers. The Buckeyes previously faced then-ranked No. 5 Denver in the first home meet of the season on Jan. 15, falling 196.600-195.750.

- Ohio State is 10-21-1 against Minnesota in the all-time series.
- The Buckeyes last competed against the Gophers at the 2021 Big Five Meet in Minneapolis, Minn., taking a fourth-place finish of 195.275 while Minnesota won with a score of 197.375.
- Minnesota’s Ona Loper leads the country with an average vault score of 9.950. Lexy Ramler ranks second nationally on beam (9.950) and fifth on uneven bars (9.925) and in the all-around (39.825). Mya Hooten averages a 9.950 on floor for fifth in the country.
