COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s basketball team (4-0) hosts Cincinnati (3-2) at the Covelli Center on Saturday evening for a 6 p.m. tip. The game will be broadcast live on B1G+ and AM 1460.

  • Ohio State remained at 21st in this week’s Associated Press poll and moved up one spot in the USA Today/WBCA poll released Tuesday to be ranked 24th.
  • Ohio State’s offense broke three records in the 110-58 win over Bellarmine on Tuesday. The Buckeyes broke the Big Ten records for most points in any half and most points in the first half as they scored 70 before halftime. OSU also set a program record for most points scored in the second quarter (39).
  • Jacy Sheldon led five players in double figures with a career-high 31 points. Taylor Mikesell (18), Rebeka Mikulášiková (13), Kateri Poole (12) and Tanaya Beacham (12) also reached double figures with Beacham and Poole posting season-highs.
  • Cincinnati enters the game with a 3-2 record after beating Western Carolina by a 46-45 margin on Tuesday. The Bearcats found themselves down four to begin the fourth quarter but tied the game following the media timeout and made a free throw with 40 seconds remaining to win the game.
  • The Bearcats opened the season with wins against Alabama A&M and Bellarmine before losing to Ohio and Utah.
  • Akira Levy and Jillian Hayes are each averaging double figures this season with 12.2 and 11.0 ppg, respectively.
  • Ohio State leads 21-4 in the all-time series against Cincinnati and has the 11-1 advantage when playing the Bearcats in Columbus.
