Bramblett is one of six new additions to the list
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior midfielder Amanda Schlueter and senior defender Ava Bramblett have been named to the 2026 Hermann Trophy Mid-Season Watch List, announced Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC), in partnership with United Soccer Coaches. Â
Amanda Schlueter recently became the all-time points leader and the first player in program history to reach 100 career points. She is leading the team in goal scoring this season, with 10 goals. In those 10 goals, she has recorded four braces, with three in the last four games. She has led the Buckeyes in assists throughout her career at Ohio State, with the second most in program history at 26. Schlueter has scored 37 goals in her career, placing her third program history. She is a captain this season and is known on the team for being extremely hardworking and a skilled playmaker. Â
Ava Bramblett is one of six athletes named to the mid-season list who weren't on the preseason watch list. She has been a crucial part of the Ohio State backline that has allowed only four goals this season, has trailed only twice and has secured six shutouts. Bramblett has played a full 90 minutes in seven out of ten games and has started nine times. She is key for breaking up the opposition and killing their momentum, allowing the Buckeye offense to move forward in tight spots. Bramblett is also a captain this season and has been praised by her coaches for her maturity and competitiveness. Â
Kailyn Dudukovich was the last Buckeye woman to be considered for the award, finishing as a semifinalist in 2024. Â
The Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy, the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer, has been awarded annually since 1967.
The 2026 mid-season watch list was compiled by members of the Division I Women's All-America Committee, chaired by Jennifer Rockwood, from a pool of the top-performing players of the first half of the 2026 season. The list was narrowed from 62 players on the preseason watch list to 30. It includes 24 players from the preseason list and six new additions who did not appear on the original list: Jade Bordeleau of NC State, Ava Bramblett of Ohio State, Bella Devey of North Carolina, Kayla Keefer of Oklahoma, Sierra Sythe of Wake Forest and Larkin Thompson of Alabama.Â
A total of 15 players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 4, at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes and three players will be named finalists. The 2026 recipient will be announced January 8, 2027, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.Â
