COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (8-4, 1-1 Big Ten) returns to the Covelli Center to host Rutgers (9-5, 0-2 Big Ten) on Thursday night.

- The Buckeyes went 1-1 to open Big Ten play on the road last weekend.
- Ohio State won its Big Ten opener at Iowa, 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23). It was the Buckeyes' first victory in their Big Ten opener since 2022, when they also defeated Iowa on the road.
- The win extended Ohio State's win streak to six matches. It was the Buckeyes' longest win streak since 2022, when they won 14 matches straight.
- Against the Hawkeyes, Naomy Govou led the team with a career-high 24 kills. She also added 10 digs to record her second double-double of the season. Kalli Jioshvili-Ravva and Hannah Jones each added 12 kills and Emily Avshalomov and Mia Stahler led the Buckeyes in digs with 15 each.
- Ohio State fell to No. 1 Nebraska in straight sets (19-25, 10-25, 12-25) on Saturday night in Lincoln.
- Govou and Jioshvili-Ravva led the Buckeyes with eight kills each.

- Govou and Jones lead the Buckeyes with 148 kills each. Govou averages a team-best 3.61 kills per set.
- Jones leads the team in points with 172 (3.51 points per set). Govou has 162 points and averages a team-high 3.95 points per set.
- Bailey Nakanelua leads the Buckeyes with 278 assists (9.93 per set) and Mia Tuman has added 237 assists (9.12 per set).
- Alia Schoonover leads the team in aces with 18. She also leads the team in total blocks with 41 (five solo, 36 assists).
- Avshalomov has a team-high 189 digs and averages a team-best 3.86 digs per set.
- The Buckeyes hit the road to take on Northwestern on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. ET.
