The doubles finals of the ITA All-American Championships was an all-Buckeye affair with Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin competing against Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima for the title.
TULSA, Okla. – The Ohio State men's tennis team saw a lot of success at the 2026 ITA All-American Championships over the last two weeks.
Junior Nikita Filin and senior Aidan Kim both qualified for the NCAA Singles tournament. Both Filin and Kim also qualified for the NCAA Doubles tournament with Brandon Carpico (Filin) and Bryce Nakashima (Kim) resulting in four athletes qualifying for the Buckeyes.
The duos of Carpico/Filin and Kim/Nakashima finished their doubles run in the ITA All-American Championships facing each other in the final. Filin and Carpico took a quick 6-2 first set, before Kim and Nakashima retired from the match due to Kim having a heavy play schedule the previous two days.
With this win, Carpico and Filin finished their dominant showing, earning All-American honors for the second year in a row. The pair did not drop a single set in the tournament, going 5-0 (9-0 in sets). They are the first set of Buckeyes to win the ITA All-American Championships doubles title since Robert Cash and JJ Tracy in 2023.
Kim worked his way through the consolation bracket to earn his spot in the NCAA Singles Championship in November after a loss in the round of 16 of the tournament. In total, Kim held a 5-1 singles record.
