Buckeyes Complete First-Ever College Swimming League Match

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11 Ohio State women's swimming team and No. 13 men's swimming team competed in the inaugural College Swim League match Thursday at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont, Ill. The Buckeyes finished in fourth place with 250.5 combined points, behind Indiana (575.5), Louisville (451.5) and Michigan (420.5).

Men's Meet Notes

Cornelius Jahn placed fourth in the 200 back with a time of 1:42.06. Krys Gorski finished seventh with a time of 1:44.95.
In the 200 breast, Sam Vaisburg placed seventh with a time of 2:03.86. Jack Wroblewski turned in a time of 2:06.01 for eighth place in his Buckeye debut.
Jordi Vilchez placed sixth in the 500 free with a time of 4:22.99. TJ Frost finished eighth with a time of 4:27.83.
The Buckeye relay team of Matt Klinge, Chris Weeks, Mike Robinson and Ahmed Ismail placed second in the 4x50 free relay with a time of 1:17.42.
Vilchez touched the wall at 1:47.78 for sixth, and Mattaus Rammel at 1:48.10 for seventh, in the 200 fly.
In the 100 IM, Frost finished in sixth with a time of 50.43 and Ethan Reniewicki followed in seventh with a time of 51.11.
Joseph Roth placed third in the 100 back with a time of 47.39. Jahn finished in fifth with a time of 47.43.
Robinson turned in a time of 43.91 for fifth place in the 100 free. Rasmus Hanson finished in 44.98 for eighth.
Matt Klinge advanced to the final round of the 50 free skins, swimming a 19.61 in the first round, 20.44 in the second and 20.55 in the third round before placing second in the final with a time of 21.83. Weeks advanced through the first round with a time of 19.90.
In the 200 IM, Frost placed fifth with a time of 1:48.04. Vaisburg finished in eighth with a time of 1:51.83.
Ismail was the third-place finisher in the 100 breast with a time of 53.28. Wroblewski finished with a time of 57.61 for eighth.
Robinson (20.07) and Weeks (20.20) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 50 free.
In the 100 fly, Klinge (47.16) and Rammel (47.49) placed fifth and sixth.
In the 200 free, Jahn turned in a time of 1:36.52 for fifth place and Vilchez finished in sixth place with a time of 1:36.55.
The Buckeye relay team of Roth, Ismail, Weeks and Klinge placed third in the opening round of the 4x50 medley relay super skins with a time of 1:26.76 before placing fourth in the second round (1:27.93) and fourth in the third round (1:29.93).

Women's Meet Notes

KK LeBlanc placed fourth in the 200 back with an NCAA standard time of 1:54.92. Delia Lloyd finished seventh with a time of 1:55.75.
Paige Delma finished in 2:15.26 and Danika Varda turned in a time of 2:16.88 in the 200 breast to finish in sixth and seventh, respectively.
Sienna Angove swam a time of 4:45.33 in the 500 free for a fifth-place finish and Mila Nikanorov placed seventh with a time of 4:46.76.
The Buckeye relay team of Rachel Bockrath, Erin Little, Carrie Furbee and Morgan Lukinac placed fourth in the 4x50 free relay with a time of 1:29.17.
Adair Shaw placed sixth with a time of 2:01.67 in the 200 fly. Anna Shnowske finished in eighth with a time of 2:02.62.
In the 100 IM, Maria Ramos finished in seventh with a time of 55.93. Delma finished in eighth with a time of 55.97.
In the 100 back, LeBlanc touched at 52.94 for a fifth-place finish. Lloyd finished in 54.39 for eighth.
Bockrath placed second in the 100 free with an NCAA standard time of 48.07. Little touched at 48.79 for seventh place.
Furbee and Lorin Tobler competed in the women's 50 fly skins, with times of 24.12 and 24.68 in the first round.
Delma finished in 2:01.23 in the 200 IM to place sixth. Angove finished in seventh with a time of 2:01.33.
Ramos placed second in the 100 breast with an NCAA standard time of 1:00.01. Varda finished with a time of 1:03.82 for sixth.
In the 50 free, Bockrath turned in an NCAA standard time of 22.19 for fifth place and Lukinac finished in 22.88 for eighth.
Furbee turned in a time of 53.83 for seventh in the 100 fly. Shnowske finished in eighth with a time of 55.06.
In the 200 free, Little placed fifth with a time of 1:46.94 and Nikanorov finished in eighth with a time of 1:50.32.
The Buckeye relay team of LeBlanc, Ramos, Furbee and Bockrath placed fourth in the opening round of the 4x50 medley relay super skins with a time of 1:37.74 before placing third in the second round (1:38.80) and third in the third round (1:39.76).
