COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (7-3) opens Big Ten play this weekend with matches at Iowa (11-3) and at No. 1 Nebraska (10-0).

- The Buckeyes take on the Hawkeyes at Xtream Arena on Friday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. ET. The match will air on B1G+.
- Ohio State and the Cornhuskers will match up on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.

- The Buckeyes closed out non-conference play with a two-match sweep of Virginia in Charlottesville.
- Ohio State took match one, 3-2 (25-22, 25-16, 20-25, 23-25, 15-11) on Friday night to improve to 3-1 in five-set matches.
- Naomy Govou led the Buckeyes with a career-high 23 kills. She also added 12 digs to record a double-double.
- Bailey Nakanelua had her third straight double-double with 43 assists and 15 digs and Kalli Jioshvili-Ravva also notched a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
- The Buckeyes won the second match of the series in straight sets (25-19, 25=17, 25-11).
- Govou and Jioshvili-Ravva led the Buckeyes with 12 kills each and Govou had a career-high six aces.
- Hannah Jones leads the Buckeyes with 132 total kills (3.14 per set) and 153.5 points.
- Govou is averaging a team-best 3.41 kills per set and 3.75 points per set. She has 116 total kills and 127.5 points.
- Nakanelua leads the team with 225 total assists (10.23 per set). Mia Tuman is second in assists with 220 (9.17 per set).
- Alia Schoonover leads the team with 17 aces. She also leads the team in total blocks with 35 (five solo, 30 assists).
- Emily Avshalomov has a team-high 165 digs (3.93 per set).
- In the Big Ten, the Buckeyes rank second in digs (630), third in digs per set (15), fifth in kills (556) and fifth in assists (513).
- The Buckeyes return to the Covelli Center to host Rutgers on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
