Buckeyes Tabbed 2026 Big Ten Players to Watch

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State field hockey players Emily Barker, Autum Kernechel and Anne Marie Krebs were named to the 2026 Big Ten Players to Watch list by the conference Wednesday.
Krebs enters her senior year as a two-time NFHCA All-West Region Selection and All-Big Ten team member. The Louisville, Ky. Native tallied a career-high three goals and added two assists while starting all 18 games of the 2025 campaign.
Kernechel, a sophomore from Emmaus, Pa., was a Big Ten All-Freshman Team honoree in 2025 after starting all 18 games and recording three assists in her rookie campaign.
Barker played 17 games in 2025 at forward for the Buckeyes. The Columbus native was one of 11 Ohio State players to record a goal last season.
Ohio State opens the 2026 season this weekend with home games against Old Dominion (Aug. 28) and Bellarmine (Aug. 30).
