Trio Named Big Ten Players to Watch

Wurschmidt, Chisolm, Roberts represent Buckeyes on Big Ten watch list
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State enters the 2026 season with three players on the preseason Big Ten Players to Watch list, the league announced Tuesday.Â
Returning midfielder Andre Roberts along with newcomers Martin Wurschmidt and Isaiah Chisolm represent Ohio State on the Big Ten list.Â
Roberts is a senior from Dublin, Ohio. Wurschmidt is a junior transfer from Evansville and Chisolm transfered from Kentucky and will be a senior forward for Ohio State this year.Â
The Buckeyes open the 2026 season at home Thursday against visiting Virginia Tech at 8 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader with the Ohio State women's team at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.Â
The women face Kansas at 5 p.m.Â
