Buckeyes score in eight winter sports
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Department of Athletics leads the Big Ten in fifth place in the winter LEARFIELD Director's Cup Standings for the 2025-26 academic/athletics year. The Directors' Cup Standings honor institutions maintaining a broad-based program and achieving success in its NCAA sports programs.
Eight winter sports added points to the Ohio State total of 664.0. Women's hockey led with 90 points after a runner-up finish in the NCAA Championships. Wrestling was next with 75 points with a fifth-place finish.
The Big Ten Conference leads all Division I conferences with 10 teams in the Top 25: Ohio State tops the list (5th) followed by Penn State (6th), Michigan (9th), Iowa (13th), Wisconsin (15th), Minnesota (18th), Nebraska (20th), UCLA (22nd), Oregon (23rd) and USC (25th).
