NCAA Tournament field announced Monday
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The No. 5 ranked Ohio State women's tennis team was defeated by No. 18 Michigan 4-2 Sunday in the Big Ten Tournament Championship at the Auer Tennis Complex in Columbus, Ohio. Ohio State is now 22-4 overall.Â

In the final against the Wolverines (19-6), the Buckeyes lost the doubles point. Nao Nishino and Sophia Cisse-Ignatiev both won in singles and also were named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team. The Buckeyes have made 10 appearances in the tournament final, with today's the sixth in a row.Â

The NCAA Tournament field will be announced at 4:30 p.m. Monday on ncaa.com. The first and second rounds will be held on campus sites Saturday and Sunday. Â

- On court one, the No. 32 ranked duo of Luciana Perry and Flora Johnson defeated No. 30 ranked Lily Jones and Jessica Bernales 6-2. Â
- On court two, No. 27 ranked Teah Chavez and Hepzibah Oluwadare lost to Reese Miller and Laurea Rahnel 6-4. Â
- Audrey Spencer and Sophia Cisse-Ignatiev were defeated by Piper Charney and Emily Sartz-Lunde on court three 6-4 to give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead. Â
- Ohio State clinched their first point with No. 124 ranked Cisse-Ignatiev's 6-3, 6-4 court three win over No. 90 ranked Miller.Â
- No. 13 ranked Charney defeated No. 4 ranked Perry in three sets and on court two No. 36 ranked Jones topped No. 5 Chavez to put Michigan up 3-1. Â
- No. 76 ranked Nao Nishino added a point to the board for the Buckeyes with a 7-6 (6), 6-3 victory over Bernales on court four. Â
- The Wolverines clinched the win when Sartz-Lunde beat Spencer on court five in three sets.Â
- Nishino and Cisse-Ignatiev were both 2-0 in singles in the Big Ten Tournament for Ohio State.  Â
