Ohio State opens 2026 Big Ten Tournament Thursday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five Buckeyes were recognized for their individual success in 2025-26 with Big Ten honors, the league office announced Thursday.
Senior Jack Anthrop and junior Aidan Kim earned 2026 First Team All-Big Ten honors while redshirt-junior Preston Stearns and sophomore Nikita Filin were named to the All-Big Ten second team.
Redshirt sophomore JP Day was Ohio State's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner.
Anthrop enters the Big Ten tournament quarterfinal match against Nebraska Thursday (6 p.m./B1G+) with a 4-3 record in league regular-season play and a 13-4 overall record in duals in 2025-26. He also earned All-Big Ten honors in 2024 and 2025.
Kim, also a 2025 All-Big Ten selection, is 5-2 in league play and 9-8 overall in duals this season.
Filin is 11-0 in conference play and 18-1 in dual competition while Stearns has a 6-1 record against Big Ten foes and an overall dual record of 12-3.
No. 2-seed Ohio State (27-3, 12-1 Big Ten) secured its 20th-consecuitve Big Ten regular-season title last Sunday with a 4-0 victory at Nebraska.
