
Ten Buckeye Divers Set to Compete at NCAA Zones

COLUMBUS, Ohio – All 10 Ohio State divers travel to compete in the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships from Monday, March 9-Wednesday, March 11, at Eastern Michigan University. The divers look to secure their spot at the NCAA Championships.

- The Buckeyes compete in Zone C Monday, March 9-Wednesday, March 11 at the Jones Natatorium in Ypsilanti, Mich.
- The women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter competitions begin at 1 p.m. on Monday. Tuesday's competition begins at 1 p.m. as well, with the women's 3-meter and men's 1-meter.
- On Wednesday, the men begin with platform diving at 10:45 a.m. and women's platform diving will begin at 5:15 p.m.
- For the NCAA Championships, the top seven women and top eight men may qualify on the 1-meter. On the 3-meter, the top 10 women and men will advance to NCAAs. On platform, the top 10 women and top nine men will move on.
- The No. 11 Ohio State women's and men's swimming and diving teams both placed third at the Big Ten Championships.
- Tyler Read led the Buckeyes with a sixth-place finish in the 1-meter A final (342.60). Hamish Patel, Ernest Braitenbach and Dom Roberto all reached the 3-meter A final, placing 6-7-8. Read, Patel and Braitenbach recorded NCAA Zones qualifying scores during the meet.
- Lena Hentschel earned a silver-medal finish on 1-meter (332.35) and a seventh-place finish in the platform A final (251.45), which are both NCAA Zones qualifying scores. Hentschel (341.30) and Mia Prusiecki (310.70) finished 1-2 respectively in the 3-meter consolation final, also with qualifying scores.
