Ohio State Moves to No. 2, Hosts No. 1 Virginia Saturday

Buckeyes boast 5 ranked in singles, all 3 doubles teams in latest ITA rankings
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State men's tennis team moved to No. 2 nationally in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Feb. 4 rankings after improving to 6-0 on the year last weekend with wins over then No. 5 Texas (4-1) and No. 1 Wake Forest (4-0) at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center on the Ohio State campus.
The Buckeyes will put their ranking to the test again Saturday when current No. 1 Virginia faces Ohio State in Columbus (1 p.m.).Â
In the latest ITA rankings, Ohio State's doubles team of Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin moved to the No. 1 spot overall. Alexander Bernard and partner Alex Okonkwo come in at No. 7 with the pair of Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima tabbed No. 8.Â
In singles, the Buckeyes will take on the Cavaliers with five ranked players in the ITA poll.Â
Kim leads at No. 13 followed by Preston Stearns (22), Jack Anthrop (24), Okonkwo (29) and Filin (98).Â
