Anthrop Earns Big Ten Player of the Week

Buckeyes Take Second at 2026 National Indoors

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Jack Anthrop, a senior from Orlando, Florida, won all four singles matches at the ITA National Indoors last week in Dallas to help lead the Buckeyes to the finals. Those efforts earned him the Big Ten Player of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Anthrop improved to 19-5 this season in singles and 5-1 at No. 3. He is 4-3 against ranked foes to date.

In Dallas last week, Anthrop defeated Georgi Georgiev of SMU 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(1) before winning in straight sets over Alex Change of No. 4 Stanford, Andres Santamarta Roig of No. 1 Virginia and Abel Forger of No. 7 Texas.

The No. 2 Buckeyes are back in action at noon Sunday against Notre Dame followed by a 5 p.m. match against Dayton. Both matches will be contested at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
