Buckeyes Wrap Up CSL Regular Season with Three Event Wins

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11 Ohio State women's swimming team and No. 13 men's swimming team concluded their regular-season College Swimming League (CSL) slate Friday night at the Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, Calif.
The Buckeyes finished the third CSL match with 255 points and recorded three event wins. Stanford won the meet with 550 points, followed by Cal with 543.5 points and Auburn with 371.5 points.

Men's Meet Notes
- Cornelius Jahn finished in fifth with a time of 1:43.08 in the 200 back. Rayburn Kohl finished with a time of 1:45.85 for seventh.
- Ahmed Ismail swam a time of 1:59.43 in the 200 breast for a seventh-place finish, and Sam Vaisburg placed eighth with a time of 2:01.42.
- In the 500 free, Jordi Vilchez placed fifth with a time of 4:22.45, and TJ Frost followed in sixth with a time of 4:25.87.
- The Buckeye 4x50 free relay team of Matt Klinge, Chris Weeks, Mike Robinson and Ismail placed fifth with a time of 1:18.07.
- In the 200 fly, Vilchez recorded a time of 1:47.39 for seventh and Mattaus Rammel touched at 1:51.00 for eighth place.
- Klinge (49.44) and Austin Hickok (50.79) finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 100 IM.
- In the 100 back, Jahn placed fifth with a time of 47.43 and Joseph Roth placed sixth with a time of 47.46.
- Robinson turned in a time of 44.20 in the 100 free for seventh place, and Ethan Reniewicki finished in eighth with a time of 45.27.
- Ismail advanced through the first round of the men's 50 breast skins with a time of 24.49 before swimming a 24.79 in the second round, while Frost recorded a time of 25.84 in the first round.
- Frost placed fifth with a time of 1:47.79 in the 200 IM. Vilchez finished eighth with a time of 1:50.86.
- In the 100 breast, Ismail took fifth place, touching the wall at 53.77. Vaisburg finished in eighth with a time of 56.47.
- Weeks placed seventh in the 50 free with a time of 19.95, followed by Robinson in eighth with a time of 20.32.
- Klinge earned fourth place with a time of 46.75 in the 100 fly. Rammel touched the wall at 48.49 for eighth.
- In the 200 free, Jahn finished in sixth with a time of 1:36.28 and Kohl finished in eighth with a time of 1:38.57.
- The 4x50 medley super skins relay team of Roth, Ismail, Weeks and Klinge placed fifth in the first round with a time of 1:26.81 before placing sixth in the second round with a time of 1:28.07.
- In the 200 back, KK LeBlanc opened the night with the Buckeyes' first-ever CSL win, swimming an NCAA standard time of 1:54.19. Delia Lloyd secured third place with a time of 1:55.71.
- In the 200 breast, Paige Delma swam a time of 2:12.79 for seventh. Lucia Principi touched at 2:14.70 for eighth in her Buckeye debut.
- Sienna Angove placed fourth in the 500 free with a time of 4:47.80 and Adair Shaw placed sixth with a time of 4:48.27
- For a second-place finish in the 4x50 free relay, the Buckeye relay team of LeBlanc, Rachel Bockrath, Erin Little and Carrie Furbee swam a time of 1:28.65.
- In the 200 fly, Anna Shnowske (1:59.85) and Shaw (2:05.84) finished seventh and eighth, respectively.
- Maria Ramos placed fourth in the 100 IM with a time of 55.22. Delma placed sixth, touching the wall at 55.33.
- LeBlanc finished in fifth with a time of 52.93 in the 100 back. Lloyd finished in eighth with a time of 54.93.
- Bockrath won the 100 free with an NCAA standard time of 48.29. Little placed fourth with a time of 49.10.
- In the women's 50 back skins, Sienna Rodgers advanced through the first round with a time of 24.83 before swimming a 25.74 in the second round. LeBlanc posted a time of 24.93 in the first round.
- In the 200 IM, Delma turned in a time of 1:59.60 for fourth place. Angove touched at 2:01.89 for seventh.
- Ramos took first place in the 100 breast with an NCAA standard time of 59.49. Principi swam a time of 1:03.27 for eighth.
- The Buckeyes went 2-3 in the 50 free, with LeBlanc touching at 22.49 for second and Bockrath at 22.58 for third.
- In the 100 fly, Furbee (53.96) and Shnowske (54.25) placed sixth and seventh, respectively.
- Little placed fourth with a time of 1:47.14 and Angove placed fifth with a time of 1:47.78 in the 200 free.
- The 4x50 medley super skins relay team of LeBlanc, Ramos, Furbee and Bockrath advanced to the final round, swimming a time of 1:38.12 in the first round, 1:38.19 in the second and 1:38.68 in the third round.
- Ohio State will learn its CSL postseason status once regular-season CSL matches conclude Oct. 23.
- The Buckeyes return home to McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion for the annual Scarlet v. Gray meet Friday, Oct. 9 and alumni meet Saturday, Oct. 10.
