Feldman Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week

Heavyweight took down pair of Top 10 foes

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Redshirt junior Nick Feldman was named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week after helping No. 2 Ohio State remain undefeated with wins at No. 7 Minnesota and No. 6 Nebraska last week.

Feldman earned two victories at heavyweight on the road over No. 10 Koy Hopke (MD, 11-2) in Minneapolis and then in Lincoln over No. 4 AJ Ferrari (SV, 4-1).

The victory at Nebraska helped Ohio State to a come-back victory over the Cornhuskers. Trailing 16-14 going into the final match of the day, Feldman got the win over Ferrari to put the Buckeyes over the top in a 17-16 thriller that improved Ohio State's overall record to 14-0 and Big Ten record to 3-0. The Buckeyes defeated the Golden Gopers 29-9.

Ohio State is back in action at 6 p.m. today against No. 25 Wisconsin at the Covelli Center before taking on visiting No. 13 Michigan at noon Sunday. Both matches will be televised by the Big Ten Network.
