COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 16 Ohio State men's swimming and diving team and No. 14 women's swimming and diving team welcomed Michigan at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on Saturday.
The No. 16 Buckeye men (2-1) upset the No. 11 Wolverines (5-2), 167-133. The No. 14 women's team (1-2) fell to No. 4 Michigan (8-0), 162-136.

Men's Meet Notes
- In the 200 medley relay, the relay team of Cornelius Jahn, Ahmed Ismail, Matt Klinge and Ethan Reniewicki opened the meet with a second-place finish, swimming a time of 1:23.93.
- The Buckeyes went 2-3 in the 1000 free with Mason Edmund swimming a time of 8:58.98 and Issac Fleig turning in a 9:00.83.
- Tomas Navikonis won the 200 free, swimming a time of 1:34.29.
- In the 100 back, the Buckeyes had three top five swimmers, with Jahn placing first with an NCAA standard time of 45.99. Joseph Roth finished third, turning in a 47.07 and Krys Gorski finished fifth, swimming a time of 47.88.
- Jankovics finished third in the 100 breast with a time of 52.99. Ismail placed fourth, turning in a time of 53.38.
- Edmund placed second in the 200 fly, swimming a time of 1:45.72.
- In the 50 free, Klinge wins the event with an NCAA standard time of 18.86.
- On the 3-meter, Tyler Read won the event with an NCAA Zones qualifying score of 374.40. Ernest Braitenbach followed in second with a 368.03, which is also an NCAA Zones qualifying score.
- Navikonis finished the 100 free in third place with a time of 43.25.
- The Buckeyes secured first and second in the 200 back. Jahn placed first with an NCAA standard time of 1:41.54 and Roth placed second, swimming a time of 1:43.62.
- Jankovics earned a first-place finish and an NCAA standard time of 1:54.24 in the 200 breast.
- In the 500 free, Jordi Vilchez finished in second, touching at 4:19.56. Alex Axon placed fourth with a time of 4:24.58 and Edmund placed fifth with a swim of 4:25.25.
- Klinge won the 100 fly and recorded an NCAA standard time of 45.02. Fentress earned the third-place finish with a time of 47.13.
- The Buckeyes went 1-2-3 on the 1-meter, all diving NCAA Zones qualifying scores. Read placed first with a 378.75, Dom Roberto placed second with a score of 343.58 and Matthew Yuan placed third with a score of 341.55.
- In the 200 IM, Jankovics earned another first-place finish with an NCAA standard time of 1:43.67.
- Closing out the meet with a first-place finish was the 400 free relay team of Navikonis, Klinge, Ismail and Jahn; they turned in a time of 2:50.84.
Women's Meet Notes
- The 200 medley relay team of Sienna Rodgers, Maria Ramos, Carrie Furbee and Rachel Bockrath placed second, swimming an automatic NCAA qualifying time of 1:35.96.
- Mila Nikanrorov won the 1000 free, setting a new school record with a time of 9:22.37, smashing her previously held record of 9:30.49, which she set in 2024.
- Also in the 1000 free, Emma Finlin placed second with a time of 9:37.34 and Adair Shaw placed third with a time of 9:41.83.
- In the 200 free, Bockrath placed second with an NCAA standard time of 1:43.36. Erin Little finished third with an NCAA standard time of 1:43.70. Sienna Angove also turned in an NCAA standard time of 1:45.20 and finished fifth.
- KK LeBlanc came in second in the 100 back, with a time of 52.70.
- Ramos won the 100 breast with an NCAA standard time of 58.39.
- Jessica Eden placed third with a time of 1:57.34 in the 200 fly. Lucy Malys swam a 1:58.60 to place fourth, followed by Shaw in fifth with a time of 1:59.44.
- The Buckeyes went 2-3-4 in the 50 free, with Furbee swimming a 22.33, Little swimming a 22.44 and Taya Hutchison swimming a 22.64.
- The Buckeyes took the top three spots in the 3-meter, all recording an NCAA Zone qualifying score. Lena Hentschel came in first with a score of 368.78, followed by Mia Prusiecki in second with a score of 328.20 and Hannah Newbrook in third with a score of 299.93.
- Bockrath finished in first place in the 100 free with an NCAA standard time of 47.85. Little touched fourth with an NCAA Standard time of 48.30.
- In the 200 back, Krista Marlin swam a time of 1:56.39, placing third in the event.
- The Buckeyes finished 2-3 in the 200 breast, with Ramos turning in a time of 2:08.43 and Delma swimming a 2:10.76. Both times are NCAA standards.
- Nikanorov earned another first-place finish, winning the 500 free with a time of 4:36.97, which is an NCAA standard time.
- Furbee swam a 52.63 in the 100 fly to place second.
- On the 1-meter, Hentschel (325.88), Brooklyn Petit (292.13) and Prusiecki (286.28) finished first, second and third, respectively, and all recorded NCAA Zones qualifying scores.
- In the 200 IM, Delma came in fourth, swimming a time of 1:58.86, followed by Angove in fifth with a time of 2:00.30.
- With an automatic NCAA qualifying time of 3:12.84, the 400 free relay team of Little, LeBlanc, Bockrath and Furbee place second.
- The Buckeyes head to Austin, Texas for the Texas Invitational, hosted by the Longhorns, Jan. 23-24.
