Agnew Selected B1G Athlete of the Week

Graduate student set PR in runner-up finish
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Kevin Agnew, a graduate student on the Ohio State men's cross country team, has been named the Big Ten Athlete of the Week, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday.
Agnew was second overall, just a tenth of a second behind the race winner from No. 15-ranked Butler, at the Mike Baumer XC Classic hosted by Wright State in Norton, Ohio, last Friday. He crossed the line in a 5K career-best 14:33.4, passing the 14:54.9 he set in 2023. Agnew and the Buckeyes were second as a team behind Butler.
This week, Agnew and the Buckeyes head to East Lansing, Mich., for Friday's Spartan Invitational/Big Ten Preview.
