Full Slate Revealed for 2025-26 Campaign

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The complete 2025-26 schedule for the Ohio State men's hockey team has been released, with the Big Ten announcing conference matchups and dates Friday. Non-televised home games will be at 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and at 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The broadcast schedule and game times will be announced in the coming weeks.

Season tickets are on sale now and mini plan options and single game tickets for the upcoming season will go on sale to the general public next month. The Buckeyes open the year with three nonconference series, hosting Northern Michigan Oct. 10-11 and Sacred Heart Oct. 24-25, with a trip to UConn in between Oct. 17-18.

The Big Ten slate starts with a Thursday-Friday series against Penn State in Columbus Oct. 30-31, leading into a football matchup between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions Nov. 1 in Ohio Stadium.

Following an open weekend, Ohio State will hit the road for two B1G series, playing at Wisconsin Nov. 14-15 and at Michigan Nov. 21-22.

After a Thanksgiving nonconference weekend series at Arizona State Nov. 28-29, the first part of the schedule wraps up with a Thursday-Friday series at home against Minnesota Dec. 4-5.

The 2026 slate begins when the Buckeyes take on instate foe Bowling Green. The teams will meet in Columbus Jan. 2 and in Bowling Green Jan. 3.

Eight straight Big Ten series, with four at home and four on the road, close out the regular season for the Buckeyes. Michigan State travels to Columbus Jan. 9-10, followed by an open weekend and then a series at Notre Dame Jan. 23-24.

Ohio State will face the Michigan Wolverines in Columbus Jan. 30-31.

February begins for the Buckeyes at Minnesota Feb. 6-7 before the Scarlet and Gray host Wisconsin Feb. 13-14. Back-to-back road series wrap up the month, as Ohio State will head to Penn State Feb. 20-21 and to Michigan State Feb. 27-28.

The final regular season series features the Buckeyes hosting Notre Dame Thursday-Friday, March 5-6.

The 2026 Big Ten Hockey Tournament will take place March 11-21 and feature a new format. The tournament will be shortened to two weeks and begins March 11 with single-elimination quarterfinal games on campus sites. Teams seeded No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 will host the No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7 seeds, respectively. The No. 1 seed will gain a bye into the semifinals, slated for March 14 at campus sites. The highest seeded team following the semifinals will host the Big Ten Championship Game March 21.

The Buckeyes were 24-14-2 in 2024-25 and finished third in the Big Ten with a 14-9-1 ledger. The squad reached the Big Ten Tournament championship game and was an at-large selection into the NCAA Tournament.
