Day and Mosley Named B1G Runners to Watch

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Men's sophomore Weston Day and women's senior Aniya Mosley of the Ohio State cross country programs were selected Big Ten Runners to Watch entering the 2025 campaign, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday.
Mosley, from Virginia Beach, Va., had a breakout year in 2024. She finished eighth at both the Big Ten and NCAA Great Lake Regional championships, earning First Team All-B1G and all-region accolades. She secured an at-large berth into the NCAA Championships, where she placed 80th. Mosley was first for the Buckeyes in all four team events she ran last season.
Day, a native of  Dublin, Ohio, raced in all six events for the Buckeyes as a true freshman in 2024. He led the Scarlet and Gray and was 26th overall at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, finishing the 10K in 29:49.8, one spot out of all-region honors. A Big Ten Runner of the Week honoree, he ws 55th overall at the Big Ten Championships a season ago.
Mosley, Day and the Buckeyes start the 2025 competition schedule at the Mike Baumer Cross Country Classic in Dayton, Ohio, Sept. 5.
