Ohio State earns team award for eighth year in a row
COLUMBUS, Ohio --Â The Ohio State women's tennis team was recognized with an ITA All-Academic Team award, with five Buckeyes earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday. This is the 16th time in program history, and the eighth year in a row, the squad received the award.Â
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade-point average of 3.2 or better, when factoring all letterwinners into the cumulative grade-point average for the current academic year. ITA Scholar-Athletes must have a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
Shelly Bereznyak and Sydni Ratliff, seniors in 2024-25 who both graduated in the spring, each earned the individual accolade for the fourth time and Megan Basil is now a three-time honoree. Sophomore Alessia Cau and freshman Nao Nishino were both recognized for the first time.
