Ohio State Announces 2025-26 Nonconference Slate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – In 2025-26, the Ohio State men's hockey team is slated to host five nonconference games and will travel for five out-of-league matchups. The Buckeyes' Big Ten schedule will be released at a later date, along with times and broadcast information.

The deadline for fans to renew their season tickets is 4 p.m. ET June 30 and new season ticket packages are available now. Other ticket options, including groups, miniplans and single games, will be available for purchase later this summer.

The nonconference schedule opens with two games at home against Northern Michigan Oct. 10-11. The Buckeyes and Wildcats will be facing off for the first time since they were conference foes in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. The last games between the teams were in Marquette, Mich., Jan. 18-19, 2013.

The Buckeyes will hit the road to take on UConn, a 2025 NCAA Tournament team, Oct. 17-18. The squads have met eight times, including in 2021-22 in Columbus and in 2022-23 in Connecticut.

Oct. 24-25, Ohio State will host Sacred Heart in Value City Arena. The programs have met just twice, with a two-game series in Columbus Nov. 5-6, 2003.

Thanksgiving weekend, the Buckeyes will head to Arizona for two games vs. the Arizona State Sun Devils Nov. 28-29. The teams have faced off in four series since 2017-18, with the most recent matchup in Columbus March 4-5, 2021. Ohio State played in Tempe Oct. 12-13, 2018.

For the fifth year in a row, Ohio State and Bowling Green will meet in a home-and-home series. The squads will face off in Columbus Jan. 2 before a game on Falcon home ice the next night.

The Buckeyes were 24-14-2 in 2024-25 and finished third in the Big Ten with a 14-9-1 ledger. The squad reached the Big Ten Tournament championship game and was an at-large selection into the NCAA Tournament.
