Hollenbaugh Named WGCA Second Team All-American

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women's golf junior Kary Hollenbaugh has earned Second Team All-American honors, announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Tuesday. This is the first career All-American nod for Hollenbaugh.
Hollenbaugh had an outstanding junior campaign, picking up four tournament wins to tie the program record for wins in a single season. She was the individual champion at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, the Spartan Suncoast Invitational, the Clemson Invitational and the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational.
At the Big Ten Championships, Hollenbaugh tied for second place to win a silver medal. She finished with a 54-hole score of 212 (-4) to earn her best career Big Ten finish.
Hollenbaugh capped her season with a T-34th place finish at the NCAA Championships. She shot 292 (+4) over four rounds in her first career NCAA finals.
Hollenbaugh, who was an All-Big Ten First Team selection and an ANNIKA Award finalist, led the Buckeyes with 13 rounds in the 60s and she finished the season with a team-best 71.15 scoring average and 111 birdies.
Hollenbaugh will be back in action May 29-June 1 at the U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills Golf Course in Wisconsin.
