COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week in and week out, Buckeyes raise the standard of excellence set at Ohio State, whether that be in competition, in the classroom or in the community. 'Buckeye Spotlight' recognizes Buckeye student-athletes who had noteworthy accomplishments both in contests and beyond the box score.

- Alexander Bernard recorded three wins in a pair of Buckeye victories over visiting USC and UCLA
- Provided the clinching doubles win in both matches, winning 6-4 against UCLA and 6-2 against USC.
- Bernard battled No. 34 Rudy Quan of UCLA into a third set on court one and was up a break at 3-1 when the team match was halted.
- On Sunday, he defeated USC's Nathan Trouve 6-4, 6-2 on court 2 in the team's 4-0 sweep
- Tyler Burgess put together a strong weekend in his first Big Ten Championships. He earned a career-high 13.950 and stuck his dismount on parallel bars during the Big Ten team championships to qualify for the individual event finals.
- Burgess then earned a 13.675 to finish fifth in the Big Ten individual event finals as the top-scoring freshman on the event.
- This season, he ranks 12th in the country on parallel bars (13.656).
- Teodora Iovi won the women's 5000m at the Cherry Blossom Invite this past weekend.
- She recorded a new personal record of 16:39.39, destroying her old PR of 17:34.65 (David Hemery Valentine Invitational).
- Alex Marinier tied his career high points in a game with seven points on six goals and an assist in the Buckeyes' 14-10 win over No. 17 Johns Hopkins.
- He now has 40 goals on the year, becoming just the 15th player in program history to score at least 40 goals in a season.
- Marinier leads a Buckeye offense that leads the conference in goals per game.
- Helped the Buckeyes to consecutive wins over Top 15 opponents with a combined 16 kills last week
- The Buckeyes defeated No. 15 Ball State and No. 14 Lewis by 3-1 scores to close out the home schedule
- Celebrated senior night by hitting .500 against Lewis with six kills on 10 swings
- Ohio State closes the regular season with two matches at Quincy this weekend
- One of seven boats to win races last Friday in final home regatta of 2025
- Battle rough conditions to defeat SMU by 15 seconds (6:58 – 7:13)
- Helped the Buckeyes go undefeated on the day
