
Buckeyes Sweep Final Big Ten Weekly Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio –Ohio State swept the final Big Ten weekly swimming awards of the season, announced by the conference on Wednesday. Luke Paxton and Annie Krusinski earned Swimmer of the Week honors and Reid Caswell and Susie Lee were named men's and women's Freshman of the Week, respectively. It is the first career weekly conference award for each swimmer.
At the Ohio State Winter Invitational, Paxton won the 200 back with an NCAA B standard time of 1:41.90. He also placed first in the 200 IM with a time of 1:46.12 and was on the first place 400 medley relay team (3:13.79). He was third in the 100 back with a time of 47.52.
At the Winter Invite, Caswell placed first in the 500 free (4:24.39), third in the 100 free (44.97) and fourth in the 200 free (1:38.26). Caswell was also on the first place 400 medley relay (3:13.79) and 200 medley relay (1:28.52) teams.
Krusinski placed second in both the 50 free (23.28) and the 100 fly (54.63) at the Ohio State Winter Invite. She finished third in 200 fly prelims (2:03.93). Krusinski was as also on the first place 400 medley relay team (3:44.89).
At the Ohio State Winter Invitational, Lee placed first in the 500 free with a time of 4:51.79, first in the 100 back with a time of 53.80 and first in the 200 back with a time of 1:57.86. She was also on the first place 400 medley relay team (3:44.89).
