Buckeyes Earn Titles at Kent State Open

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Three Buckeyes claimed titles Saturday at the 2025 Kent State Open with another taking second.

Vinny Kilkeary (125), Landon Desselle (157) and Seth Shumate (197) posted 4-0 records in their respective brackets to win titles while e'Than Birden (165) took second with a 4-1 record.

Daxton Chase (149) wrestled to a third-place finish.

No. 2 Ohio State (7-0) will be home Friday in dual action against visiting No. 9 NC State at the Covelli Center. Match time is set for 7 p.m. with B1G+ providing the live stream.
